Many people cannot access domains and websites because their administrators do not think they should be accessed. Now we understand why such blocks are sometimes necessary to prevent too much idle internet time. But we also understand why one would want to get past blocked domains and websites, here are ways in which you can get past a domain which is blocked.

–  Sometimes using the IP instead of the URL of the website is enough for the internet block to give way. It obviously depends on the software and application that is used. Getting past this way is possible because blocked sites are often stored as URL’s and when you type the IP instead of the URL, it may actually work. To find the IP is possible on the ‘Command Prompt’ on your computer.

–  There are many free services available on the internet that provides short URL’s. So even if an URL you want to go to is banned, you can bypass it using such a service.

–  Anonymously surfing the internet is possible these days with proxy websites. Proxies are usually free and give you the opportunity to take advantage of their facilities and will let you surf the internet completely anonymously. There are many such websites available and all you need to do to bypass the blocks is to go to any of these sites and type the URL you want to visit on their address bar. Though some organizations have become aware of such sites and taken measures to curb them, you may find success.

–  Cache is another way for you to get past a domain which is blocked in your organization. Most search engine’s cache stores a version of the page it catalogs. Of course these caches may not be updated to the minute but it gives you a good idea of the URL you want to visit but cannot directly.

–  Translation service is another trick in the book for people who try to bypass their organization’s internet administrator everyday! Online translation series like Google’s very own ‘Google Translate enable on to translate one language to another and then displays the results on its own page. What you have to do is to type in the URL of the website you want to visit which is blocked to be translated and then be retranslated into English and allow it to show you the end content. This way you get blocked material easily.

Some websites will send you the web pages you want to visit right in your inbox! Yes, that’s right. You just need to send the URL of the address you want to visit and the content will be set to you.

Bypassing blocks set up by administrators is easy if you just know what to do!
